Come along and join us for a mix of hands on textile making, including ragging, knitting, needle punching, pompom making and weaving. Sit down, grab a drink and chill with us as we share these textile techniques in a fun, informal setting.

About Nicola J Reid

Nicola J Reid is a Creative Director/Visual Artist specialising in recycling and sustainable practices. Based at @liveseyexchange her work ranges from fashion production to delivering community events, which include hosting workshops for adults and children. Nicola’s fashion brand focuses on the empowerment of women and resourcefulness of waste materials.
Her passion for creativity and love of colour aims to uplift and insipire.

About Euphemia Franklin

Euphemia Franklin is a British/Japanese designer and producer. Her practice centres around bringing people together through collaborations, events and exhibitions. Currently, she is undertaking a master’s in History of Design at the RCA and V&A while working as an assistant producer for the National Maritime Museum’s youth programme. Most importantly, Euphemia loves sheep, takes her coffee black and strongly believes that rum and raisin is the best flavour of ice cream.

Thank you for providing me an opportunity to exhibit prints, photography and canvases from local artists who do not often get the opportunity to and to promo the launch of Artizan Radio. It was a pleasure being part of a well run and organised event which is credit to you (Nicholas), Noah and the rest of PemPeople/Livesey Exchange team. The Permanent Temporary event (as part of London Design Festival 2021) was a shining example of what Creatives need in terms of spaces for making. The attendance alone shows how much people of all ages are interested in arts and culture and local business.

About Livesey Exchange

Livesey Exchange Garages (LEX 1) is a grassroots project initiated by Nicholas Okwulu who transformed 60 garages on the Ledbury Estate into workshops, studios and multidisciplinary spaces for local makers and creators.

Livesey Exchange (LEX 2) opening in 2022. The new building will be an important new piece of social infrastructure and through its mix of accessible social, cultural and community space, it will serve to support the local community as the neighbourhood undergoes major regeneration.
